We understand that one size doesn't fit all, and the same goes for Mechanical Breakdown Insurance. We put you in the driver’s seat by including coverage options to fit your lifestyle and budget. Your Deductible does not apply to the optional coverage benefits.

Your Mechanical Breakdown Insurance provides motel and restaurant expense coverage:

  • As soon as the repair estimate is received and coverage is determined
  • If your vehicle becomes inoperable more than 100 miles from your home and must remain at the repair facility overnight as a result of an authorized mechanical breakdown or failure

You must have an authorized and coverable claim to receive reimbursement.

We will reimburse you for receipted motel and restaurant expenses up to $100 per day for a maximum of 3 days (total benefit per occurrence of $300).

Roadside assistance benefits are administered by Roadside Protect, Inc. Roadside Protect, Inc., is powered by The American Traveler Motor Club, Inc., in AK and CA. Services may not be available in all states and may vary by state. Please refer to your actual contract for specific coverage limits and conditions.

In the event of a covered breakdown covered by the policy, we will pay on behalf of or reimburse you for receipted expenses to rent a replacement vehicle from a licensed rental agency, or for alternate public transportation while the vehicle is at a licensed Repair Facility, in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Policy. Coverage will be provided to you on the following basis:

  • We will pay the actual expenses, not to exceed $50 per day for 8 labor hours, or portion thereof, flat rate labor time from a nationally recognized labor manual, for the labor time authorized to complete the repair, not to exceed $250 for each repair visit.
  • A maximum of 4 additional days of rental coverage is available for part(s) delays and/or vehicle inspection requested by the company. Other delays that are beyond the control of the repair facility or us are not covered.
